The Cambridge combines a deeply buttoned backrest, generously upholstered arms and supportive seat cushions with a strong, traditionally constructed hardwood frame.

Its substantial proportions and richly characterful leather create an inviting statement piece equally suited to a traditional living room, country home, library, office or contemporary interior.

Available in four standard sizes, from a spacious armchair to a generous three-seater sofa, with larger sizes available on request. Every Cambridge is individually handmade to order by experienced craftspeople in our West Midlands workshop.

GENUINE DISTRESSED ITALIAN LEATHER

The Cambridge is upholstered in genuine semi-aniline leather tanned in Italy and selected for its rich colour, texture and individual character.

The leather retains the natural grain and markings of the hide. Variations in colour, scars, creases and changes in texture are inherent characteristics of genuine leather rather than faults.

Each hide is individually inspected, cut and positioned by our upholsterers. This means that every finished Cambridge will have its own distinctive combination of grain, shade and natural markings.

With use, the leather will soften and develop an attractive lived-in patina, allowing your sofa to gain even more depth and personality over time.

TRADITIONAL CHESTERFIELD CHARACTER

The Cambridge takes its inspiration from traditional British Chesterfield furniture.

Its distinctive deep-buttoned backrest and generously upholstered arms create a strong, beautifully balanced silhouette, while the loose seat cushions provide the comfort required for everyday living.

Unlike mass-produced furniture, every back is buttoned and upholstered individually by experienced craftspeople.

COMFORT AND SUPPORT

The Cambridge combines supportive seat cushions with a strong internal frame to provide lasting everyday comfort.

The generous seat depth allows you to settle back comfortably, while the high upholstered arms provide a naturally enclosed and relaxing seating position.

Regularly turning and plumping the seat cushions will help maintain their appearance, shape and comfort.

SOLID HARDWOOD FRAME

Every Cambridge is built around a strong, traditionally constructed solid hardwood frame.

The frame is individually assembled before the upholstery, padding, cushions and leather are carefully fitted.

Traditional construction and repairable materials make the Cambridge a lasting piece of furniture designed to be enjoyed for many years.

Please allow for small dimensional tolerances because every piece is individually handmade.

These are substantial pieces of furniture. Before ordering, carefully check that your selected size will fit through all doorways, hallways, staircases and turns leading to its intended room.

SELECTING YOUR SIZE

The Cambridge armchair is exceptionally generous and works beautifully as a statement chair or as part of a coordinating suite. The two- and three-seater options provide traditional family seating for larger rooms.

BESPOKE OPTIONS

Because every Cambridge is handmade to order, alternative dimensions and leather colours may be available.

Please contact us before purchasing if you require a bespoke size or would like help coordinating your leather with existing furniture.

HANDMADE IN THE UK

Every Cambridge chair and sofa is made especially for you in our West Midlands workshop.

Our experienced craftspeople construct the hardwood frame, prepare the upholstery, cut and sew the leather, fit the seat cushions and create the deep-buttoned backrest individually.

This is not mass-produced furniture. Small variations are natural and form part of the character of an authentic handmade product.

MADE TO ORDER

Our current production time is shown in the delivery information. If you require your furniture for a particular date, please contact us before ordering and we will let you know what may be possible. Please understand that we do not rush production of our chesterfield sofas, these are made by time served crafts people and each sofa take a considerable amount of time to craft to the quality we offer.

LEATHER CARE

Remove loose dust using a clean, soft cloth.

Small marks should be treated carefully with a slightly damp cloth and then allowed to dry naturally. Avoid saturating or vigorously rubbing the leather.

Do not use bleach, household detergents, solvents, abrasive cleaners, furniture polish or unsuitable leather wipes.

Keep the furniture away from strong direct heat and prolonged intense sunlight. A suitable semi-aniline leather conditioning cream may be applied sparingly when required.

DELIVERY

Your chair or sofa will be carefully protected and delivered fully assembled.

Please check the complete dimensions and ensure that there is sufficient access through all doorways, hallways, staircases and turns before ordering.
