The two-seater version of our popular Berkley chair combines a supportive high back, shaped wings, generously padded scroll arms and a traditional deep-buttoned back.

Upholstered throughout in genuine distressed Italian leather, this statement sofa has a relaxed vintage appearance that works beautifully in a living room, snug, library, study or country-house interior.

Two removable medium-soft seat cushions provide comfortable everyday seating without compromising the sofa’s classic appearance.

Every sofa is individually handmade to order by experienced craftspeople in our West Midlands workshop.

DISTRESSED ITALIAN LEATHER

Our premium semi-aniline Italian leather retains the natural character of the original hide.

A subtle waxed finish enhances the depth and variation of the colour, giving the leather its relaxed vintage appearance. With use, the leather will continue to soften and develop an attractive lived-in patina.

Natural variations in grain, tone, creases, healed scars and distressing are expected characteristics of genuine leather. They are not faults and help make every handmade sofa unique.

Leather colours can appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and screen settings. We recommend requesting a free sample if an exact colour match is important.

COMFORT & CONSTRUCTION

The Berkley sofa is built around a strong hardwood and softwood timber frame using traditional furniture-making and upholstery techniques.

The supportive seat base is fully sprung before being covered with insulating and cushioning upholstery layers.

Two generously filled, removable seat cushions provide a comfortable medium-soft sit while helping the sofa retain its traditional shape.

The tall back, supportive wings and generously padded arms make the Berkley particularly suited to reading, relaxing or sitting beside the fire.

LEG FINISHES

Our standard wooden leg finish is walnut.

Alternative finishes may include:

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Wipe the leather gently with a clean, dry cloth
• Blot spills immediately—do not rub
• Do not use harsh household cleaners
• Keep away from strong heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight
• Turn and plump the removable seat cushions regularly
• Always test specialist leather-care products on an inconspicuous area first

HANDMADE TO ORDER

This is not a mass-produced sofa.

Every frame is prepared, upholstered and finished individually by experienced craftspeople in our West Midlands workshop.

Small differences in measurements, stitching, leather grain, colour variation and stud placement are natural characteristics of genuinely handmade furniture.

DELIVERY

Your sofa will be delivered fully assembled and carefully protected for transport.

Please check that the sofa’s dimensions are suitable for your property, including all external doors, internal doors, hallways, corners and staircases.

For deliveries to islands, remote areas or destinations outside mainland UK, please contact us before purchasing so that we can confirm availability and any additional delivery charge.
