HANDCRAFTED ITALIAN LEATHER DOG SOFA BED

Give your dog a beautifully comfortable sofa of their own with this substantial, traditionally constructed dog bed, individually handmade in our West Midlands workshop.

Designed to look like a genuine piece of furniture rather than an ordinary pet bed, it combines a strong internal timber frame, supportive raised sides and the unmistakable character of genuine Italian leather.

The beautifully upholstered frame brings warmth, luxury and timeless character into your home, while the generously cushioned sleeping area creates an inviting place for your dog to curl up, stretch out and relax.

Supportive sides provide a reassuring sense of enclosure and a comfortable place against which your dog can rest its head. Traditional wooden legs complete the furniture-inspired appearance and lift the bed neatly away from the floor.

Every dog sofa is individually handmade to order by our experienced craftspeople.

GENUINE ITALIAN LEATHER

The upholstered frame is finished in genuine Italian leather selected for its natural character, warmth and ability to develop beautifully with age.

Unlike completely uniform synthetic materials, genuine leather retains the individual characteristics of the original hide. Variations in grain, colour and tone, together with healed scars, creases and other natural markings, make every dog bed individual.

These characteristics should not be considered faults. They are part of the beauty and authenticity of real leather and will allow your dog bed to develop even more character with age and use.

Leather samples are available if you would like to see the colours, grain and texture before placing your order.

Breed suggestions are provided as a general guide only. Dogs within the same breed can vary considerably in size and sleeping preference.

We strongly recommend measuring your dog while it is resting in its normal sleeping position and comparing those measurements with the internal sleeping area before ordering.

Please select the size according to the sleeping space your dog requires rather than relying solely on breed.

DETACHABLE LEGS

The bed is supplied with traditional 2-inch wooden legs.

The legs are removed for delivery, reducing the packed height by approximately 5cm. This helps protect them against damage and makes the Small and Medium sizes more suitable for international courier networks.

Assembly is straightforward. Simply screw each leg into the fitted fixing beneath the bed after unpacking.

Once attached, the bed will reach the overall assembled height stated for the selected size.

Please check the legs regularly and tighten them if required.

HANDMADE TO ORDER

This is not a mass-produced pet bed.

Every bed is individually constructed, upholstered and finished by experienced craftspeople in our West Midlands workshop.

We use traditional furniture-making and upholstery techniques to create a substantial dog sofa designed to become part of your home.

Small variations in finished dimensions, stitching, leather grain and colour are a natural part of handmade production and help make every bed individual.

DELIVERY

Your dog bed will be carefully wrapped and protected before leaving our workshop.

The detachable legs will be packed separately within the parcel and must be fitted after delivery.

The cushion may be compressed during transport. Once unpacked, gently plump and reshape it, then allow time for it to recover its natural fullness.

Please provide a telephone number after ordering, as this will normally be required by the carrier to arrange or complete delivery.

The Medium and Large beds are substantial items. Please check the dimensions and ensure that your selected bed will fit through all doorways, hallways, stairways and restricted access points before ordering.

The Large bed may be delivered by a specialist freight carrier. Delivery is normally made to an accessible ground-floor entrance unless an alternative service has been agreed in advance.

Additional charges may apply to exceptionally remote destinations, offshore locations or addresses requiring a specialist delivery arrangement. If the carrier identifies an exceptional surcharge, we will contact you before dispatch.

LEATHER CARE

Regularly remove loose hair and dust using a clean, soft cloth or a soft vacuum upholstery attachment.

Attend to spills promptly by gently blotting the area with a clean, absorbent cloth. Do not scrub or saturate the leather.

Avoid household detergents, antibacterial sprays, furniture polish, baby wipes and other harsh cleaning products, as these may damage the leather’s protective finish.

Keep the bed away from direct heat and prolonged strong sunlight. Use only a suitable leather-cleaning or conditioning product after testing it on an inconspicuous area.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

• This is a pet bed and is not intended for use by children.
• The bed is not chew-proof or indestructible.
• Dogs that chew, scratch or dig bedding should be supervised while using it.
• Regularly inspect the frame, cushion, leather, seams and legs for signs of damage.
• Discontinue use if the leather becomes torn, the filling is exposed or any component becomes loose.
• Keep the bed away from fires, heaters and other sources of heat.
• Do not drag the bed by its sides, back or cushion.
• Lift the bed carefully from underneath when moving it.
• Ensure all four legs are securely fitted before allowing your dog to use the bed.
• Place the bed on a stable, level surface.
