Upholstered in genuine distressed Italian semi-aniline leather, this classic fireside chair features a supportive high back, traditional deep buttoning, shaped wings and generously padded scroll arms.

A removable medium-soft seat cushion and fully sprung seat base provide supportive comfort, while hand-applied antique-style studding and elegant Queen Anne wooden legs complete its traditional appearance.

Every chair is individually handmade to order by experienced craftspeople in our West Midlands workshop.

DISTRESSED ITALIAN LEATHER

Our semi-aniline Italian leather retains the natural grain and individual character of the original hide.

A subtle waxed finish enhances the leather’s rich variations in colour and allows it to develop an attractive, lived-in patina over time.

Natural variations in grain, shade, creases, healed scars and markings are expected characteristics of genuine leather. They are not faults and help make every chair unique.

Leather colours can appear different depending on lighting, photography and screen settings. We recommend requesting a sample if an exact colour match is important.

COMFORT & CONSTRUCTION

The chair is constructed around a strong FSC-sourced hardwood and softwood frame using traditional upholstery techniques.

The fully sprung seat base is covered with insulating and supportive upholstery layers. A generously filled, removable seat cushion provides a comfortable medium-soft sit while retaining the chair’s traditional appearance.

The supportive high back, shaped wings and padded scroll arms make this chair particularly suited to reading, relaxing or sitting beside the fire.

WOODEN LEG FINISHES

Our standard wooden leg finish is walnut.

Alternative finishes may include:

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Dust the leather regularly with a clean, soft cloth
• Wipe minor marks gently with a slightly damp cloth
• Do not use harsh household cleaners or abrasive products
• Keep the chair away from strong heat sources
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
• Turn and plump the removable seat cushion regularly
• Always test specialist leather-care products on an inconspicuous area first

This is not a mass-produced chair. Every frame is prepared, upholstered and finished individually by experienced craftspeople in our Midlands workshop.

Small differences in measurements, stitching, leather grain, colour, distressing and stud placement are natural characteristics of genuine handmade furniture.

These variations are not faults—they are part of the character and beauty of an authentic handmade leather chair.

DELIVERY

Your chair will be delivered fully assembled and carefully protected for transport.

Please check that the chair’s dimensions are suitable for all doorways, hallways and staircases before ordering.

For deliveries to islands, remote areas or destinations outside mainland UK, please contact us before purchasing so that we can confirm delivery availability and any additional charge.
