Inspired by the classic Queen Anne fireside chair, each Buckingham features a supportive high back, traditional deep buttoning, shaped wings and generously padded scroll arms.

Hand-applied antique-style studs and solid wooden Queen Anne legs complete the timeless design.

Every pair is handmade to order by experienced craftspeople in our West Midlands workshop.

GENUINE DISTRESSED ITALIAN LEATHER

Our premium semi-aniline Italian leather retains the natural character and markings of the original hide.

A subtle waxed finish enhances the leather’s rich colour variations and allows it to develop an attractive, lived-in patina over time.

Natural variations in grain, tone, creases, healed scars and distressing are expected characteristics of genuine leather. They are not faults and help make every handmade chair individual.

Leather colours can appear different depending on lighting, photography and screen settings. We recommend requesting a sample if an exact colour match is important.

COMFORT & CONSTRUCTION

Each chair is constructed around a strong FSC-sourced hardwood and softwood frame using traditional upholstery techniques.

The fully sprung seat base is covered with insulating and supportive upholstery layers. A generously filled, removable seat cushion provides a comfortable medium-soft sit while maintaining the chair’s traditional appearance.

The high back, supportive wings and padded scroll arms make these chairs particularly suited to reading, relaxing or sitting beside the fire.

WOODEN LEG FINISHES

Our standard leg finish is walnut.

Alternative finishes may include:

• Wipe the leather gently with a clean, dry cloth
• Blot spills immediately—do not rub
• Do not use harsh household cleaners
• Keep away from strong heat sources
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
• Turn and plump the removable seat cushions regularly
• Always test specialist leather-care products on an inconspicuous area first

These are not mass-produced chairs.

Every frame is prepared, upholstered and finished individually by experienced craftspeople in our West Midlands workshop.

Small differences in measurements, stitching, leather grain and stud placement are natural characteristics of authentic handmade furniture.

DELIVERY

Both chairs will be carefully protected and delivered fully assembled.

Please check that the chair dimensions are suitable for all doorways, hallways, staircases and access routes before ordering.

For deliveries to islands, remote areas or destinations outside mainland UK, please contact us before purchasing so that we can confirm delivery availability and any additional charge.
